In order to guarantee the correct function of creping blades taking care of best practices is very important.
As all tissue makers know, from time to time it is necessary to make a polishing of the Yankee cylinder to remove completely the old coating rests from the surface. This helps avoiding vi- brations which can be the beginning of chatter marks.
Lantier has developed a special polishing blade and procedure, which guarantee per- fect polishing of the Yankee during a regular shutdown, without the need unplanned long shutdowns.
